“Intermodal Terminal” platform seeks to interrogate the colonial logistics of the Post-Soviet space.

arteries that facilitate the flow of capital and state violence. To dissect the colonial project through its logistics reveals not only its scale but also its connections - ones that are usually hidden behind the substitution of political restrictions by technical conditions. Intermodal terminals are transitional spaces of logistics. In these spaces, a container is situated neither here nor there: neither in the place of dispatch nor in the destination point. Since capitalism and transatlantic slavery set the world in motion, “neither here nor there” have become a global state of moving colonial projects.
The entry point for the platform is the intermodal terminal in Nakhodka, a port city in Primorsky Krai. “Colonial sediments” video investigates it as one of the cases of colonial violence and decolonial resistance.
