“Intermodal Terminal” platform seeks to interrogate the colonial logistics of the Post-Soviet space.

Logistical chains are

arteries that facilitate the flow of capital and state violence. To dissect the colonial project through its logistics reveals not only its scale but also its connections - ones that are usually hidden behind the substitution of political restrictions by technical conditions. Intermodal terminals are transitional spaces of logistics. In these spaces, a container is situated neither here nor there: neither in the place of dispatch nor in the destination point. Since capitalism and transatlantic slavery set the world in motion, “neither here nor there” have become a global state of moving colonial projects.

The entry point for the platform is the intermodal terminal in Nakhodka, a port city in Primorsky Krai. Colonial sediments” video investigates it as one of the cases of colonial violence and decolonial resistance.
